Yard Waste Removal Rhode Island: Brush, Branches and Storm Debris
More Than the Green Bin Takes
Municipal yard waste collection in Rhode Island runs to a schedule and a size limit. A pruned hedge fits. A fallen limb does not, and neither does the pile left after a weekend of clearing.
We take the overflow. Brush, branches, leaves, soil, sod and turf. No bagging required and no cutting to length. Leave it where it fell.
What We Clear From a Garden
- Brush and hedge cuttings
- Leaves and garden clippings
- Mulch and gravel
- Rotten decking boards and garden timber
- Storm debris
- Branches and small fallen trees
- Soil, turf and sod
- Old raised beds and planters
- Broken garden furniture
Storm Debris Cleanup
After a storm the problem is scale and timing. Everybody needs the same thing in the same week.
Call early and tell us what came down. Trees and branches are our job. If a storm brought fencing or part of a structure down as well, that side of it goes through construction and demolition debris, and we will take both in one visit rather than send two crews.
Composting Rather Than Landfill
Green waste goes to composting facilities. It is the one category where almost nothing needs to be buried, and it keeps the disposal cost down, which shows in the price.
Soil and stone are handled separately because of the weight.
What Yard Waste Removal Costs
Volume in the truck, the same as every other job. A pile of brush takes up far more space than its weight suggests, which is why yard waste is often cheaper per truckload than it looks.
Soil, turf, gravel and stone are the exception. Those are priced on weight.
Access matters. A back garden with a side gate takes longer than a driveway pile.

Common questions
Yard Waste, Answered
How do I get a price for yard waste removal?
Call us or send a photo of the pile from a distance, so we can see the scale. Yard waste is the hardest thing to judge by description, and one wide photo saves a phone call.
Do I need to bag it or cut it to length?
No. Leave it where it is. Bagging yard waste before we arrive saves you nothing and costs you an afternoon.
Will you cut down a tree?
No. We clear felled trees and fallen limbs but we do not fell standing ones. Bring in an arborist for the felling and we will clear the site afterwards.
Do you take soil and stone?
Yes, priced on weight rather than volume. Tell us roughly how much when you call, because a small pile of soil is heavier than a large pile of brush.
How soon after a storm can you come?
Storm weeks are the busiest weeks of our year. Call as early as you can and we will give you a real date rather than a hopeful one.
