Furniture Removal Rhode Island: Sofas, Beds and Appliances Gone
The Items the Bin Men Refuse
Furniture removal in Rhode Island comes down to two problems. The item is too big for your car, and the council will not take it.
We handle both. Sofas that will not turn the corner on a staircase. Fridges that need the refrigerant handled under state rules. Washers still plumbed in. You do not need to move anything before we arrive, and you do not need a second person to help lift.

Mattress Removal in Rhode Island
Mattresses are the single most common item we collect, and the hardest one to get rid of yourself. Rhode Island runs a state recycling programme for them, which is why a mattress carries its own disposal fee wherever you take it.
We collect box springs at the same time. One mattress on its own is a normal job for us and often takes under fifteen minutes. Christina had hers taken and a photo sent back so she could see the room was clear.
What Furniture and Appliance Removal Costs
You pay for the space the items take up in the truck. Two chairs cost less than a bedroom suite.
Three things move the number. Stairs and long carries, because a third floor sofa needs more hands. Weight, on anything with a motor or a stone top. And disposal fees on mattresses and any appliance containing refrigerant, which are set by Rhode Island rules rather than by us.
Labour, disconnection, loading, hauling and disposal are already in the quote.

Common questions
Furniture and Appliances, Answered
How do I get a price for furniture or appliance removal?
Call us or send a photo. For furniture, one photo of the item and one of the route out, the stairs or the doorway, gets you an accurate number first time. Most quotes come back inside the hour.
Do you disconnect the washer and the fridge?
Electric appliances, yes. Gas appliances, no. Anything on a gas line needs capping by a qualified fitter before we arrive, for your safety and ours.
Why does a mattress cost extra?
Rhode Island runs a mattress recycling programme and every mattress carries a disposal fee at the facility. That fee is passed on at cost. It applies wherever you take a mattress in this state, not only to us.
Can you get a sofa down a narrow staircase?
Usually. We carry straps and take doors off hinges when it comes to it. Tell us about the stairs and the doorway when you call so we bring enough hands.
Will you take one chair on its own?
Yes. Single items are a normal part of our week. There is a minimum charge because the van still travels and the item still has to be disposed of, but you are not turned away for a small job.
